CTF Pricing For Eligible Customers

The CTF provides funding support for training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the support of the CTF in reducing the costs of training for eligible workers.

Duration

1 Day - This includes all 3 units

However, if you already hold 1 or more of these units then below are the time frames for each unit:

- UETDREL006 - Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker: 8:00am-11:00am (3hrs)

- UETDREL006 - Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker: 11:30am-1:30pm (2hrs)

- UETDRMP007 - Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel: 1:30pm-4:30pm (3hrs)

Aim of this Course / Target Group

This LVR & CPR training program is designed to provide the skills and techniques required to successfully meet the nationally recognised Units of Competence UETDRMP007- Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel and HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The course is suitable for individuals within the workplace.

Course Content

The program addresses the following:

  • Life Support – the D.R.S.A.B.C.D. Approach
  • Managing the Unconscious
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R)
  • Rescue Breathing
  • Defibrillation
  • Placement of rescue equipment
  • Controlling hazards to rescuer, victim and others
  • Maintaining Safe Approach Distances (SAD's) appropriate to rescue from a live LV panel
  • Practical demonstration of rescuing a person
  • Removing victim to a safe location / place of safety

Assessment Method

Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration

Pre-requisites

  • Must have basic English literacy skills
  • HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
OR
  • UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker (this unit can be delivered in conjunction with the package)

Note: Those holding an existing ESI or Electrotechnology qualification or equivalent meet the prerequisite unit requirements, however learners must provide HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (unless completing as part of this course).

Academic Award & Recognition

Upon successful completion, depending what units the students complete on the day, participants will be issued with a wallet card and the following nationally recognised Statement of Attainment:

  • UETDRMP007 - Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
  • HLTAID009 - Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • UETDREL006 - Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker

What To Wear

All course participants are required to wear appropriate casual attire. Closed toe, comfortable shoes are more suitable than work boots.

Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks.

We have a vending machine at our West Swan facility

Lunch is NOT provided at any of our venues.
