Aim of this Course / Target Group

Be the First Responder Your Team Can Rely On

In high-risk electrical environments, every second counts. Our UETDRMP018 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel and HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation course gives you the practical skills and confidence to respond effectively to electrical emergencies and deliver life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

This nationally recognised course is essential for electricians, maintenance teams, and site personnel working around low voltage equipment across construction, mining, and industrial sectors. It also meets the industry requirement for annual LVR/CPR refresher training.

Course Content

The program covers:

  • The D.R.S.A.B.C.D. action plan for life support
  • Managing an unconscious casualty
  • CPR (HLTAID009), including rescue breathing and defibrillation in line with ARC Guidelines
  • Placement and correct use of rescue equipment
  • Identifying and controlling hazards to protect yourself, the casualty, and others
  • Maintaining Safe Approach Distances (SADs) for low voltage panel rescue
  • Practical demonstration of a low voltage rescue and removal of a victim to a safe location

Assessment Method

Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration

Pre-requisites

  • Must have basic English literacy skills
  • HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (this is inlcuded in the course for those who don't hold this unit)

Academic Award & Recognition

Upon successful completion, depending what units the students complete on the day, participants will be issued with a wallet card and the following nationally recognised Statement of Attainment:

  • HLTAID009 - Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • UETDRMP018 - Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel

CTF Pricing For Eligible Customers

$66.00 - This subsidised rate is available to eligible companies under our bulk billing arrangement with the Construction Training Fund (CTF).

Individuals may still be eligible for the subsidy; however, they must submit their claims directly to CTF, as we are unable to claim on their behalf. For more information about the individual claim process, please contact the CTF directly.

CTF provides funding support to assist with the training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the CTF’s contribution in helping reduce training costs for eligible participants.

However, if you already hold the pre-requisite unit then you will only need to attend half way through the course (if this is the case, please contact us to book)

What To Wear

All course participants are required to wear appropriate casual attire. Closed toe, comfortable shoes are more suitable than work boots.
