Course Content

The course addresses the following:

• Planning and preparing for tip truck and water vehicle operations
• Conducting pre-start, operational, and shutdown checks
• Safe start-up, driving, manoeuvring, and parking procedures
• Loading, hauling, and unloading materials (tip truck)
• Operating tipping systems safely
• Operating water delivery systems (spray bars, hoses, pumps)
• Dust suppression and water cart applications
• Identifying hazards and applying risk controls
• Communication and site requirements
• Working safely around other vehicles, plant, and personnel
• Basic operator maintenance and housekeeping
• Compliance with workplace procedures and legislative requirements

Assessment Only services are also available for experienced operators seeking initial certification or Verification of Competency (VoC).
