Aim of this Course / Target Group
The aim of this training is to impart to participants the necessary knowledge and skills required to safely operate a slewing mobile crane with a maximum rated capacity (MRC) up to 100 tonnes, in accordance with all relevant legislative responsibilities.
The course is aligned to the nationally recognised unit TLILIC0021 - Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 100 Tonnes) which specifies the outcomes required to safely operate a slewing mobile crane with a maximum rated capacity (MRC) up to 100 tonnes, in accordance with all relevant legislative responsibilities.Course Content
The program addresses the following:
- Applying relevant mathematical calculations
- Pre start, start up, after start and shut down procedures
- Operating the machine
- Working near powerlines
- Safe load handling
- Emergency procedures
Assessment Method
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
Must have basic English literacy skills and be over 18 years of age
Whilst this course has no pre-requisite requirements, as a requirement by Australian Training Management all candidates must hold a current Dogging High Risk Licence (DG).
Recommended to hold a current C6 High Risk Licence.
Course Requirements: Please make sure you have 1 primary photo ID (eg. drivers licence, passport or current HRWL)
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment:

What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear long sleeve pants, a long sleeve shirt and steel cap boots.

Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch as it is not provided. Vending machines are available at our West Swan site.
