Rigging (Intermediate Level)
Aim of this Course / Target Group
This course provides participants with the required skills and knowledge to enable them to safely and conduct rigging in a variety of situations in compliance with Work Safe WA Standards and Regulations. The course is aligned to the nationally recognised unit CPCCLRG3002A License to Perform Rigging Intermediate Level which specifies the outcomes required to undertake intermediate rigging work

Course Content
The program addresses the following:
- Licensing, Regulations and Duty of Care
- Personal Safety and Effective Workplace Communication
- Plant and Equipment Inspection
- Conduct the Risk Assessment Process and Manage Risk
- Installation of Hoist / Master Climber / Platforms / Safety Nets / Arrest Systems
- Ropes, Bends, Hitches, Whipping and Splicing
- Erection of structural steel and pre-cast panels
- Work Safely with others
Assessment Method
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
Must have basic English literacy skills, be over 18 years of age and already have held the Dogging and Basic Rigging Licenses for a minimum of 6 months; with demonstrated industry experience. Pre-course reading is essential.
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following Statement of Attainment which will be recognised nationally:
- CPCCLRG3002A - License to Perform Rigging
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire. Steel capped safety boots are required for all high risk work courses.
Morning Tea & Lunch
All participants will be offered morning/ afternoon tea and for those attending full day courses lunch is provided (an assortment of sandwiches and hot finger foods). Persons with special dietary requirements should cater for their personal needs.
Course Fee
$950.00 (This price is inclusive of 2 passport photos) $100 Worksafe fee will apply if requested for ATM to process licence application
CTF Subsidy
$285.00 After CTF Subsidy
This subsidy is available to eligible participants only.
The Construction Training Fund provides funding support for training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the support of the Construction Training Fund in reducing the costs of training for eligible workers.
