This course aligns with the nationally recognised unit RIIMPO337E – Conduct Articulated Haul Truck Operations, covering planning and preparation, pre-start and operational checks, safe operation, and basic maintenance.
Course Content
The course addresses the following:
- Planning and preparing for operations
- Pre- and post operational checks
- Start up and shut down procedures
- Defensive truck driving
- Spotting to load
- Hauling and dumping
- Speed control
- Cornering and skid control
- Operator maintenance
Articulating Haul / Dump Truck Operator Assessment only service is also available for experienced operators for initial certificate issue and VoC’s

Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
Must have basic English literacy skills
If required by the employer or by the site management, or if required to drive the machine on a gazetted road, the candidate may require a Heavy Rigid (HR) Motor Vehicle Drivers License however this is not required to complete the course.
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following nationally recognised statement of attainment:

CTF Pricing For Eligible Customers
$552.00 - This subsidised rate is available to eligible companies under our bulk billing arrangement with the Construction Training Fund (CTF).
Individuals may still be eligible for the subsidy; however, they must submit their claims directly to CTF, as we are unable to claim on their behalf. For more information about the individual claim process, please contact the CTF directly.
CTF provides funding support to assist with the training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the CTF’s contribution in helping reduce training costs for eligible participants.

Important – Course Start Time
Our standard course start time is 8:00am sharp.
Participants are required to arrive by 7:45am for sign-in and room allocation.
Participants arriving after the course start time may be denied entry, and their booking may be cancelled.
Please note: Some courses may have alternative start times. Any variations will be clearly communicated prior to the course.
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear long sleeve pants, a long sleeve shirt and steel cap boots.
