Course Content
This course is based on the requirements outlined in State / Territory Roads & Traffic Regulations and Permit requirements; applicable to persons planning and conducting Load Restraint, including:
- Legislative requirements for the loading and securing of cargo
- Hazards analysis relating to loading and securing cargo
- Preparing to load, unload and secure cargo / containers
- Lashing & unlashing cargo
- Packing & unpacking cargo
- Protecting cargo from weather
- Completing required documentation
Assessment Method
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
Must have basic English literacy skills
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with either of the following nationally recognised Statements of Attainment relevant to their industry area:
- TLIA1001 - Secure Cargo
- TLID0015 - Load and unload goods/cargo
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear long sleeve pants, a long sleeve shirt and steel cap boots.
Morning Tea & Lunch
For courses held on our site, feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch as it is not provided. Vending machines are available at our West Swan site.
