Aim of this Course / Target Group
The RIIHAN311F – Conduct Operations with Integrated Tool Carrier course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely and effectively operate an integrated tool carrier in a variety of workplace settings. This unit focuses on ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards, workplace procedures, and manufacturer specifications while carrying out operations.
Course Content
- Identify work tasks, hazards, and required PPE.
- Interpret job plans and ensure readiness for operations.
- Inspect equipment, address faults, and ensure tools are securely fitted.
- Operate safely and efficiently across various conditions.
- Use attachments for lifting, carrying, and loading while managing site hazards.
- Estimate and handle loads safely, maintaining stability and applying safe lifting practices.
- Safely shut down equipment, perform post-checks, and secure for storage or transport.
- Follow safety policies, minimise environmental impact, and report incidents or maintenance needs.
Assessment Method
This course includes practical training and assessments, where participants demonstrate their ability to operate an integrated tool carrier in a controlled or workplace environment. Participants are also assessed on their knowledge of safe work practices, operational techniques, and troubleshooting procedures.
Pre-requisites
Must have basic English literacy skills
If required by the employer or by the site management, or if required to drive the machine(s) on a gazetted road, the candidate may require a Heavy Rigid (HR) Motor Vehicle Drivers License.
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following nationally accredited Statement of Attainment:
