Please note: This is the nominal time anticipated to bring a new operator to the minimum national NOHSC7019 standard for each machine.
Aim of this Course / Target Group
This Triple Plant Operator (Front End & Skid Steer Loader and Excavator) training program provides the theoretical knowledge and practical training that will equip operators with the skills necessary to safely demonstrate competence to the minimum national certification standards (NOHSC7019) and to lay the foundation skills of new operators so that they can, in a safe manner, continue to develop their skills and proficiency whilst operating these 3 plant machines.
This course is aligned to 3 nationally recognised Units of Competence (listed below) for the Front End Loader, the Skid Steer Loader and the Excavator; which specifies the outcomes required including planning and preparation for work, the safe and effective operation of each machine completing a range of mandatory tasks, the fitting, use and removal of attachments, machine relocation, operator maintenance activities and a variety of worksite housekeeping activities.Course Content

- Planning and preparing for operations
- Pre- and post-operational checks
- Basic operating techniques
- Fitting and using attachments
- Machine relocation
- Operator maintenance & housekeeping activities
Assessment Method
Knowledge based assessment and practical skills assessment
Pre-requisites
Learners must have basic English literacy skills.
If required by the employer or by site management, or if you are required to drive these machine on a gazetted road, the candidate must already hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) Motor Vehicle Driving License.

Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion of all aspects, learners will be issued with one or more of the following competencies; depending on the level of competency demonstrated during assessment:

- RIIMPO318F Conduct civil construction skid steer loader operations
- RIIMPO320F Conduct civil construction excavator operations
- NOHSC 7019 Certificate of Competence

What To Wear
