The Construction Training Fund provides funding support for training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the support of the Construction Training Fund in reducing the costs of training for eligible workers.

Aim of this Course / Target Group
This course provides participants with the information and guided practice on the machine so that new and experienced operators can demonstrate theoretical and practical competence to, or beyond, the licensing standards. This elevating work platform training program is designed to qualify elevating work platform operators under the High Risk Licence Regulations that came into effect in October 2007. This course is suitable for any individual.
This course can also be presented for operators of elevating work platforms with a height capacity of less than 11m who do not require a High Risk License.

- Personal Safety Procedures
- Harnesses and Lanyards
- EWP Stability
- Safe Working Load
- Use of Outriggers and Interlocks
- Routine Inspections
- Start Up and After Start Checks
- Hazard Identification / Hazard Control
- Safe Operating Guidelines
- Emergency Procedures
Assessment Method
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
Must have basic English literacy skills and be over 18 years of age
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following Statement of Attainment which will be recognised nationally:
- TLILIC0005 - License to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 meters or more), or CPCCCM3001 Operate elevated work platforms.
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire. Steel capped safety boots are required for high risk courses.

Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks. All participants will be offered morning/ afternoon tea.
