Aim of this Course / Target Group

Keep Roads Safe. Control with Confidence.

Want a job that gets you out on site, not stuck in a classroom?
This course gives you the real-world skills you need to work safely and confidently in traffic management.

Our Basic Worksite Traffic Management, Traffic Control & Portable Traffic Devices course is designed for people who want to get job-ready fast. You’ll learn how to control traffic using stop–slow bats, set up signs and devices correctly, implement Traffic Management Plans, and work with modern portable traffic control devices used on today’s worksites.

It’s hands-on, practical, and focused on what employers actually want — safe workers who know what they’re doing.

Who should do this course?

  • New starters looking to break into traffic management
  • Workers needing traffic control skills for construction, utilities or maintenance
  • Traffic controllers wanting to upskill and increase job opportunities

If you’re looking for a course that’s practical, engaging, and opens doors to work, this is the one.

Course Content

This course is hands-on, practical, and focused on real worksites — not boring theory.

  • How to set up and follow Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
  • Correct placement and use of temporary traffic signs and portable traffic devices
  • How to position, set up, and program portable traffic control devices
  • Site safety, hazard awareness, and safe work practices around live traffic
