Aim of this Course / Target Group
The aim of this training is to impart to participants the necessary knowledge and skills required to safely operate a slewing mobile crane with a maximum rated capacity (MRC) over 100 tonnes, in accordance with all relevant legislative responsibilities.The course is aligned to the nationally recognized unit TLILIC0015 - Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (over 100 tonnes) which specifies the outcomes required to safely operate a slewing mobile crane with a maximum rated capacity (MRC) up to 20 tonnes, in accordance with all relevant legislative responsibilities
The program addresses the following:
- Applying relevant mathematical calculations
- Pre start, start up, after start and shut down procedures
- Operating the machine
- Working near powerlines
- Safe load handling
- Emergency procedures
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Must have basic English literacy skills and be over 18 years of age
Must hold a current Dogging High Risk Licence (DG)
Must hold a current C1 High Risk Licence for two years or have logged 200 hours.
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following Statement of Attainment which will be recognised nationally:
- TLILIC0015 - Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (over 100 tonnes)
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire. Steel capped safety boots are required for all high risk courses.
