You’ll learn how to plan and prepare for tasks, carry out pre-start checks, operate both machines safely and efficiently, handle loads, and complete essential maintenance — all in line with current industry standards.
This course covers two nationally recognised units:
RIIMPO337E – Conduct Articulated Haul Truck Operation
RIIMPO326E – Conduct Water Vehicle Operations

Course Content
The course addresses the following:
- Planning and preparing for operations
- Pre- and post-operational checks
- Start up and shut down procedures
- Defensive truck driving
- Spotting to load
- Loading from standpipes
- Distributing water
- Hauling and dumping
- Hauling fluid loads
- Speed control
- Cornering and skid control
- Operator maintenance
Assessment Method
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
Must have basic English literacy skills
If required by the employer or by the site management, or if required to drive the machine on a gazetted road, the candidate may require a Heavy Rigid (HR) Motor Vehicle Drivers License, however this is not a requirement to complete this course.
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following nationally recognised statement of attainment:
- RIIMPO337E Conduct articulated haul truck operations
- RIIMPO326E Conduct civil construction water cart operations

CTF Pricing For Eligible Customers
$654.00 - This subsidised rate is available to eligible companies under our bulk billing arrangement with the Construction Training Fund (CTF).
Individuals may still be eligible for the subsidy; however, they must submit their claims directly to CTF, as we are unable to claim on their behalf. For more information about the individual claim process, please contact the CTF directly.
CTF provides funding support to assist with the training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the CTF’s contribution in helping reduce training costs for eligible participants.
Duration
2 Days
1st day is located at the Nowergup site and last day is located at our West Swan site.
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear long sleeve pants, a long sleeve shirt and steel cap boots.
Morning Tea & Lunch
Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch as it is NOT provided.
