Taking measurements
The rest of this Guide provides further
information on some basic ways of making
measurements and calculations. It is designed
to get you thinking about what you will need to
know but does not include everything that is
relevant to your job.
You might need to do some further research
using additional resources available at the
worksite or provided by your trainer.
Length
The length of an object is a linear measurement
of how long something is.
Height
The height of an object is a linear measurement
of how high it is.
Width
The width of an object is a linear measurement of
how wide it is.
