About Apprenticeships and TraineeshipS

Traineeships and apprenticeships are structured programs that offer ideal pathways for enhancing occupational skills and knowledge. Whether you're beginning your career or seeking to expand your capabilities, these programs lead to Nationally Accredited Qualifications recognized under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

The Value for Employers As an employer, you understand the importance of a well-trained workforce in boosting productivity and profitability. Enrolling employees in traineeships or apprenticeships is an effective and economical way to develop staff skills. Additionally, employers often benefit from financial support when they invest in these training programs.

Commencing an Apprenticeship or Traineeship

Begin your journey with Australian Training Management by contacting our team to discuss your specific needs. Our coordinators are here to assist in selecting the most suitable qualification for each employee, considering their current role and any prior learning.

Cost and Skills Assessment We focus on two main aspects to determine costs. Firstly, we evaluate the pre-existing skills of your workers to see how these align with the competencies required. Secondly, we identify areas where further skills development is needed.

Training Commencement Once we receive approval from the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD), training can begin. Australian Training Management ensures that all training and assessment services comply with the Australian Quality Framework (AQF) and Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.

Flexible Training Approach Our training and assessment services are primarily on-the-job, with formal assessments conducted by our qualified trainers. However, certain training aspects can be effectively managed by qualified members of your team, upon agreement.

Recognition of Prior Learning and Achievements We acknowledge and give credit for previous accredited training through Credit Transfers, ensuring trainees don’t have to repeat units they’ve already completed. Additionally, life skills and experiences are valued and may be recognised through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process.

Funding & Incentives

Construction Training Fund (CTF): Significant grants are available for employers, with additional support for diverse groups like women, Indigenous, and regional trainees. Visit the CTF website for more information.

National Incentives: The Federal Government offers incentives for employing trainees, with potential support for training costs.

WA State-Based Incentives: Additional financial benefits are available. Both State and Federal incentives can be discussed with your preferred Australian Apprentice Support Network (AASN) provider. To find an AASN provider visit Apprenticeships.gov.au.
