CASA Remote Pilot Licence (Pilot Conversion Course)
Aim of this Course / Target Group
Don’t just learn to fly a drone; learn to fly it well, and gain the certification required to fly for commercial benefit. Our one day Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) licenced Pilot Conversion course is the perfect way to recognise your current skills as a Pilot and use them whilst learning to become a safe and successful, licenced Drone Pilot.
You will learn drone specific flight planning skills as well as practical flying skills that will enable you to operate and fly safely. Our licenced training course covers a wide range of practical flying activities and applications to further enhance your aviation career.You will learn about and use Drone info-technology and complete the required practical flying training in order to sit the practical flight assessment.Ideally you will have 3 hours of logged drone flying time prior to course attendance, which is supplemented during the course; meeting the CASA requirement of 5 hours of flying time.

- Drone Software
- Night Operations
- Air Exercises (Drone Flying)
- Emergency Actions and Reporting Procedures
Knowledge based questions, Drone flying activities and a practical flight test
You must hold a CASA Pilot licence as a pre-requisite to attending this course.
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful course completion, CASA will issue participants with the sub 7Kg Remote Pilot Licence (RePL). We can also offer the licence upgrade to the sub 25Kg RePL, using our DJI M600 Pro if this is required.
As an RTO, we can also to offer the AVI30316 Certificate III in Aviation – Remote Pilot (Visual Line of Sight), which will include some post-course RPAS flying activity and Pilot Logbook completion (at an additional cost).
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate attire; long sleeves and closed in shoes.
Morning Tea & Lunch
Feel free to grab tea or coffee before the course starts and during the course breaks. All participants will be offered morning / afternoon tea and lunch is provided. Persons with special dietary requirements should cater for their personal needs.
