Aim of this Course / Target Group
Don’t just learn to fly a drone; learn to fly it well, and gain the certification required to fly for commercial benefit. Our five day Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) licenced training course is the perfect way to launch your rewarding career as a Pilot. We teach you everything you need to know to become a safe and successful, licenced Drone Pilot.
You will learn practical flying skills as well as operational planning skills that will place you a cut above the average pilot. In aviation, knowledge and skill is everything; so we prepare you for all of the challenges that lie ahead. Our CASA approved training course covers the required theory and a wide range of practical skills and applications that provide you with the platform from which to successfully launch your aviation career.You will learn about and use Drone info-technology and complete the required training in order to sit the theory assessment, the practical flight test and the Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate test; where successful learners will gain their licences.

Knowledge based questions, AROC testing, RPAS activities and a practical flight test.
There are no course pre-requisites, however you will need to have an ARN (Aviation Reference Number) issued by CASA before the course; so we can process your Remote Pilot licence. If you do not have an ARN, you can apply for one here
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful course completion, CASA will issue participants with their accredited Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) and with their Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (Licence). Our RTO offers the AVI30316 Certificate III in Aviation – Remote Pilot (Visual Line of Sight), which will include some post-course RPAS flying activity and Pilot Logbook completion.
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate attire; long sleeves and closed in shoes.
Morning Tea & Lunch
Feel free to grab a tea or coffee before the course starts and during the course breaks. All participants will be offered morning/ afternoon tea and lunch is provided. Persons with special dietary requirements should cater for their personal needs.
