Our History

Established in 1989 and originally trading as Earthmoving Industry Training Services, Australian Training Management Pty Ltd is primarily known in the civil, building construction, transport and mining industries for honest and trustworthy advice and service. 

The Western Australian, family owned company was established on a foundation of significant industry experience in civil construction and mining with a background of final trim grader operator and all-rounder plant operations expertise.  Following an appointment as the Operator Trainer for the Caterpillar dealerships in Western Australia, Managing Director, Peter Lewis, established the business and quickly gained a reputation as a trainer determined to produce quality outcomes.

Peters’ focus is evidenced by the fact that Australian Training Management Pty Ltd was endorsed as a Quality Assured company to ISO9001 in 1995.  This was 2 years before the training sector required training organizations to meet quality assurance requirements and register through the state recognition authorities of the day.  As the new requirements for registering as an RTO were based on ISO9002, Australian Training Management Pty Ltd was among the first to be registered in 1997.

Services Available Today

Today the delivery of high quality training programs remains of paramount importance to Australian Training Management Pty Ltd.  In response to client needs we now deliver a wide range of Scheduled Training Courses at our Training Centre in Midvale, Western Australia.  These programs can also be delivered on site for our corporate clients.

Registered for delivery in every State and Territory of Australia, Australian Training Management Pty Ltd delivers full qualifications through Traineeship Training arrangements.  Our Australia-wide coverage means that we can offer national clients consistency across the regions.

As the name suggest, Australian Training Management Pty Ltd has a focus on helping clients become as self-sufficient as possible, no longer having to rely upon external trainers and assessors in order to meet all of their Regulatory compliance requirements.  Today this is made possible through endorsed RTO Partnering arrangements.  Rather than make our clients reliant on trainers, Australian Training Management Pty Ltd provides the structure that enables corporate clients to obtain government funding and incentives that can off-set some, if not all, of the cost of training.

With more than 22 years in training, Australian Training Management Pty Ltd now has a comprehensive suite of coveted Learning Resources that are now, for the first time, being made available for purchase.

Finally, Australian Training Management Pty Ltd is now offering Online Learning, commencing with Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety.  Numerous other courses will follow including the Certificate IV in Frontline Management, the Construction Induction White Card and the BHP WAIO supervisor competencies.

The company attributes its continued success to the decision to expand to the size needed to meet our clients’ needs but not get too big so that we can provide a timely response to clients when they call for assistance.  It’s a model that has worked well for so long and one that Australian Training Management Pty Ltd is confident will ensure continued success into the future.
